The School of Civil Engineering(SCE) at DU celebrated on 16th December the graduating class of 2010. 111 new civil engineers will join the job market. During the ceremony outstanding students were recognized and honored. In remarks on the occasion, Prof. Wael Mualla, the president of DU urged the students to stay the course of persistence, respect for work ethics,
and sense of responsibility in their professional careers. Such a predisposition would contribute to the development of their home country. Mualla also noted the vital role that SCE has played for over half a century in providing skilled human capacity to various sectors in Syria. The alumni of SCE have proven their professional competence in the “real world”.
Valedictory speeches were also given highlighting the importance of maintaining a mindset of success in life beyond campus.
